Who said that summer was over? Each year I try a fair number of white and rose wines in the summer time. In terms of the latter, Cougar Crest’s 2007 Grenache Rose is one of the best I had this year. The wine is crisp and refreshing without any of the sweetness that sometimes winds its way into roses. Unfortunately the winery shipped the wine a bit late for the summer season. Not to worry, this would be an excellent Thanksgiving wine and also has enough legs to last until next summer. NB: I received this wine from the winery. Please post a comment if you see the wine available on the shelves somewhere. |
