| Recently I reviewed Cadence's 2006 Coda, so I thought it would be a good time to look back a couple of releases and see how they are holding up. 2004 was a breakthrough year for Cadence. They planted their own estate vineyard, named Cara Mia, on Red Mountain. Fruit from the Cara Mia vineyard will be featured in the 2006 releases, of which the Coda was the first. Go here to read an excellent write-up of the research and work that went into creating this vineyard. Cadence’s 2004 releases all received 91+ point ratings from Wine Spectator which gave the winery a considerable amount of well-deserved attention. These wines taste every bit as good with another year in the bottle. See a writeup of Cadence's 2005 releases here. |
