The July Virtual Tasting wine is the 2011 Long Shadows Poet's Leap Riesling. This wine retails for $20 and is widely available. The tasting will take place on Tuesday July 24th from 7-8pm Pacific.

What you need to do to participate is:

1. Buy this month’s wine from a local retailer or from the winery.

2. Tweet your comments about the wine on Twitter between 7 and 8pm Pacific on July 24th using the hashtag #poetsleap. For those on Twitter, follow me @wawinereport.

  2. I'll try to make this one, Sean. Travel and general insanity have kept me away for last one (maybe two). I don't own this wine, so (again) will have to buy it. Such a sacrafice. I DO have '09 and '10 versions in my cellar and if I can swing it, I may open a three year vertical.

  4. I had some of this today - lots of lemon/citrus and very dry. Delicious.

    Great choice for a virtual tasting.
