By popular demand, November's Virtual Tasting will be the 2009 Owen Roe Abbot's Table. This wine retails for $20 and is widely available. The tasting will take place on Wednesday November 17th from 7-8pm Pacific Time.

What you need to do to participate is:

1. Buy this month’s wine from a local retailer or from the winery

2. Post your comments/tweets on the wine tonight between 7 and 8pm. For those on Twitter, follow me @wawinereport. I will be using the hashtag #owenroe during the event.

Hope you will join us!

  1. Wow! Very cool! We will be there for any winery or Abbot's questions anyone might have... Cheers!

    - Owen Roe

  2. Excellent! Glad you will be able to attend. Looking forward to it.

  4. Sean,

I'm bringing in a couple cases to Esquin on Friday and I'm thinking about getting a magnum if anybody is interested.

  5. Jameson, very cool! Thanks.

  6. Chris Says:
  7. D'oh! So close. We have the 2008 Abbott's Table, but not the 2009. Guess the Yak House will be doing another vertical or one off.

  8. Daddy-O Says:
  9. No luck finding the '09.
Still some '08 out there but no ' least in Oly WA.

  10. Daddy-O, bummer! Grab a bottle of 2008. I haven't looked on the shelves yet here in Seattle but saw that the 2009 was the current release so I'm assuming it's out there already. I'll let you know if I find otherwise but I know others are doing the 2008 or 2008 & 2009 as well. 'See' you then!

  11. brainfroth Says:
  12. Daddy-O Saw some '09 at Top Foods in Lacey.

  13. Daddy-O, excellent!

  14. Daddy-O Says:
  15. Thanks brainfroth,
    I'll swing by there today.

I'll have both the 08 and 09 for comparison.
    What a shame...
