Washington wine events this weekend

Thursday, December 4, 2008

As you may know, the first week of December is one of the big event weekends in Washington wine country. Walla Walla has its Holiday Barrel Tasting this weekend - one of its main annual events - and Woodinville has its St. Nicks Day Open House.

For Walla Walla's Holiday Barrel Tasting, most wineries charge a tasting fee that may or may not be refundable. A list of participating wineries can be found here. For St. Nick's Day Open House, you need to buy tickets which are $50 for the weekend (Note: Sunday only tickets are sold out). Information about this event can be found here.

I will be traveling to Walla Walla for the Holiday Barrel Tasting Friday through Monday. As usual, I will be writing up a report of this event and looking to get it up before the end of the year. You can see my write of Walla Walla's Spring Release here.
