As snow falls on Seattle and across Western Washington, a reminder that December’s Virtual Tasting is TONIGHT. The wine is Chateau Ste. Michelle's Indian Wells Cabernet 2005. This wine is widely available in supermarkets and wine stores. What better way to celebrate the snow than to walk to the grocery store, buy a bottle of wine, and go home and have a glass in front of the fire.
I will be opening the bottle around 7pm and looking to get my tasting notes up a little after 9pm. Please join us in trying this wine and posting your tasting notes. Read more about the Virtual Tasting here.
The 2008 Reader Survey Wine of the Year continues for four more days. So far William Church Bishop’s Blend 2006 has sprinted into the lead with Efeste "Jolie Bouche" Syrah 2006, Gilbert Cellars Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, and Gilbert Cellars Syrah 2005 also garnering significant numbers of votes. I will keep this poll open for four more days whereupon we will have a runoff of the top three wines. Please vote!
