Syncline Wine Cellars is located along the Columbia River in southern Washington. The name comes from a geological formation found west of the winery. Winemaker James Mantone and Assistant Winemaker Poppie Mantone focus on Rhone varietals.

A nice, prototypic pinot nose. A little minerality to it. A very up front, please wine. Good cranberry aftertaste.

Syncline Syrah Columbia Valley 2006


Tart. Not much on the nose at present. Very closed.

Syncline Mourvedre 2006


Light smokiness. Bright, dark berries. Nicely balanced.

Syncline Rose Columbia Valley 2007

Grapefruit. Melon. An enjoyable summer wine. 41% Grenache; 25% Cinault; 21% Mourvedre; 13% Counoise.
